这一题的E选项是：

我觉得prove是被动的更通顺。但是从很多资料上看到 proved 是和 became 平行的动作，是主动的。

另 falling months behind in paying 应该是只修饰 But 引导的分句吧。

PROVE主动表示被动意思，你说的很对。
个人觉得 falling months behind in paying 是在修饰the healthy care company，主句主语
