E, 逗号+to do在句尾多半错；此时to do多表目的，如带入原文意思表达不准确。所以og进行了修改used to protect这样过去分词短语在系表结构中是可接受的。

D, 我只能感觉逗号+as+名词在gmat中很少见，可能因为这样的结构就是错的。

用a protection意思表达不好，og还说没有可替代的东西。简单看，名词不如动词。

关于as我的看法：

查了张道真的语法书，里面说as作为连词，可以引起表示原因、时间、比较等的状语从句，还可以引起as you know之类的状态从句，此外，还可以引起一个短语或单词，如regard X as。。。，we must unite as one。等。但是没有说到as＋名词这种方式。大概是因为as作连词，要么引起状语从句，要么跟名词作为某个谓语的补语，没有其他用法吧。

as 在这里可以做介词啊，一个介词短语放在句尾，as本身没有错吧，呵呵

我只是觉得 a protection没有在前文的对应对象

例如   essential items of military equipment, a method of .....

          essential items of military equipment, a protection of .....

同位語是不需要連接詞的  所以AS錯

AS有兩個常用的功能  一個表示身分  另一個是當連接詞用

AS 如果當連接詞用  要符合 AS + 主詞+動詞

AS 如果當身分 用  就是 AS + 名詞   As a doctor, Mary usually can XXoo.

這樣解不知有錯否

D,因为用名词protection,那么该名词的概念与应该所修饰的词malitary equipment对等,但这两个词并不对等,军事装备不能是保护...,使用军事装备才是保护....

E,用to do修饰也是这样，不能说军事装备的目的是什么，而是某种行为的目的是什么,比如使用这种装备to do.

who can help 讲讲 why ETS says that "as" is incorrect in B and D? Even OG11 explanation says "Beginning the phrase with as is incorrect".

I am so confused.

这里的 as 就是可以的. What's the difference of using or not using
                as?
