这题答案选的是C，但是after不是个介词吗，按白勇说的介词后边不可以跟主谓结构的啊？？为什么不选D呢？觉得D更好啊。

如果选D的话，改变一下句子顺序:

after exhausting its oil reserves,Alaska regularly deposits some of its profits from the sale of oil into a special fund intended to sustain the state’s economy.所以，是deposit来after了，而句意是after之后的是sustaina。
