请教大家：怎么看出到底是300属于R，还是720属于R，也就是一个of中心词的问题

另外，A会不会有歧义呢？D为什么不对？

D的Rembrandt paintings不對, 應該是Rembrandt's paintings.
ETS接受A中的歧異...(除非有更好的choice)

但是我个人觉得，既然开头有个as many as就说明作者是想说有300这么多的画都被认为是R的了，那么从意思上理解的就应该是300是R的，后面的谓语也应该是和300一致......作者似乎想强烈300之多...
版主觉得呢？

虽然这本题中的谓语动词是过去时，看不出单复数，而且就算是现在是300 和720也都是复数

不过如果在其他题中，前面有as many as /as few as +of 的结构的话，是不是根据of前面的词语的单复数来确定谓语呢？

well, 一般人讀的時候都會馬上認為attributed to Rembrandt是修那300 paintings. 可是如LZ原本所想, strictly speaking, attributed to Rembrandt是可能修720 paintings. 也因此, 這個"歧異"是acceptable (LZ可以反過來想, 要怎改才完全沒有歧異)

我叫妳去試改是想告訴妳, 有很多時候ambiguity是不能avoid OR要用比較wordy的方法來avoid, 結果ETS會prefer有一點點ambiguity的句子
