http://forum.chasedream.com/dispbbs.asp?boardid=16&replyid=2755836&id=296214&page=1&skin=0&Star=11 After I post some numbers here, I got a lot of messages in CD, asking me about the salary things of CEIBS and CK MBA students. To be honest, I am not an expert in this area. I worked for a famous headhunter company, then I had some numbers in hand. When I saw numerous applicants arguing about the credibility of career reports of CEIBS, I wanna give some help. So far as I know, CEIBS and CK's career reports have some bubbles. And I assumed that everybody can imagine that. Although there are bubbles, they are not too big to be blew up. Basically, we could trust the numbers in the reports. But trusting numbers does not necessarily mean that you could understand the underlying contents. For CEIBS and CK MBA students, average salary offered by the job market is 1.8W-2.5W per month, that is 22W-30W per year(for chinese students). Then, we could find that CK's number is within this range, while CEIBS's number is beating the market expectation. Why? CEIBS has 10%-15% top students(20-30 persons). They already had outstanding background before CEIBS. They could go to U.S top 10 b-school if they wanted. They got many exciting offers, and their salaries are very high(ususlly more than 40W). Then we can check the numbers. We assume that the average salary of these 25 students is 40W per year(maybe it is conservative). While 50 students could get 25W per year, the average number of above two sub-groups is 30W per year. If you then kick out 1/3 foreign students and 8%-10% jobless students(entrepreneurs) in CEIBS, you could know how "30W per year" comes from. For CK, CK does not have students who was recruited by MCK or JP Morgan. Although CK has top 10% offers whoes payment is above 30W per year, the average number is just 25W per year. In conclusion, TOP group(10%-15%) in CEIBS is great. Their performance made CEIBS's career report attractive Middle group(60%-70%) in both schools is in the same level. Low end group(15%) in CEIBS has more troubles in job hunting because lots of top and middle group students got more than two offers(but they could just take one), sounds like cannibalism. Below is some numbers for your reference CEIBS one or two offers from AXA, 2W/month one offer from GE capital, 2W/month one offer from GSK, no more than 2.5W/month, but 60-70 students from ceibs took the interviews, even they are not from pharma industry(WHY?) one offer from CICC, no more than 2.2W/month one offer from Astrazeneca, no more than 2W/month offers from some second tier consulting companies, average number is 1.8-2.2W/month(consultant) one offer from HSBC, no less than 30W/year, he is a foreigner some offers from MCK, 60W per year CK 3-4 offers from PE/VC, average number is above 2W per month(basic salary) some, maybe 2-3, offers from IB(1 from CICC), 2W per month(basic salary) 1 offer from AXA, 2W per month 2 offers from AT.K, above 2W per month 1 offer from GSK, 40W per year some offers from IBM GBS, 25W-30W per year some offers from other consulting companies, above 25W per year 1 offer from BOCSH, 50W per year Hope it could be helpful.
