橙子MM的第一题
Kate (某个著名人物，具体名字我没印象了，用kate代替啦），　whose love affair with Jack(另外一个著名任务）inspired the creation of Titanic (一本著作），接着是划线部分
c.was sentenced to (or with) the 10 month prison by the Russian government in attemp to prohibit from writing the antigovernment literature..
d. was sentenced to (or with) the 10 month prison by the Russian government in its attempting to prohibit from writing the antigovernment literature.
其他的答案都是明显错误，不是run-on 就是dangling，只有这两个选项一眼看上去分辨不出来不过我也无法确定自己是否正确．

我感觉c比较好，in attempt to 中的an可以省吧？想听听大家的意见。

c为什么不对，我找到一例句Acadia national park will cut summer jobs in attempt to balance park budget.

你能举出in one's attempting to 的例句吗，二者有何不同？

不过ios的说的也有些道理，这样可以避免歧义，只是没见过in one's attempting to 的例句

偶也认为D好。

C中in (an) attempt to 表示attempt 的施动者是句子的主语。D中有个its 表明的是government.

有道理！看来最后还是要问问橙子她选几。她verbal分很高，第一题应该不会错吧。
