Nowadays, people pay too much emphasis on personal appearance and fashion.

With the fast development of the modern society , more emphasis has been focused on fashion and appearance since it is commonly believed that the costumes plays an important role not only in the daily life but also the working environment. However, as far as I am concerned , it is not necessary to focus too much on the appearance for the reasons as follow.

Admittedly, the appearance is becoming instrumental in the modern world. For instance, during the job interview, the employee would judge you for the first glance with the concept that the appearance reflects the behavior and taste to some extent. In the daily life, we are inclined to make friends with the beautiful ones and leave the ugly aloof. This phenomenon result from the increasing consciousness of beauty and the variety of the fashion development.

However, it is not reasonable to judge someone just by the costume or appearance. It is well known that only though the long contact can we learn a person comprehensively. Besides , it is unfair for the ugly to have less opportunity just because their parents do not give them a pretty faces or figures which is beyond their control. In addition , mostly, the appearance would give the wrong information and lead to unfortunate result. Hence, it is unintelligent for us to make a decision and judgment only on the appearance.

What is more crucial is that the personality and integrity are far more important than the appearance. That is to say, we should put greater emphasis on improving our wholesome skills and abilities rather than the fashion and clothes . Even without an excellent appearance to attract others  , we will realize our values by other specials or finishing some tough tasks that others could not. Therefore, it is our huge responsibility to pay more attention to improve ourselves.

It is safe to get the conclusion that it is un-sense to pay too much attention on fashion and clothes since it will bring in some mistakes. On the contrary, we should try our best to make a wholesome development .
