求问一道Dolphin的题

求大侠指点，这道题好像OG上曾经做过的，不过印象有点模糊了：

The 32 species that make up the dolphin family ae closely related to whales and in fact include the animal known as the killer whale, which can grow to be 30 feet long and is famous for its aggressive hunting pods.

纠结于A和D两个答案：

A. include the animal known as the killer whale, which can grow to be 30 feet long and is
D. include the animal known as the killer whale, which can grow as big as 30 feet long and is

个人觉得D应该也对的啊，答案是A, 请高手指点。谢谢！

as big as ... long 是redundancy 吧？请NN指正。。。

嗯，我也有这样想过，不过不确定grow ... to be...是不是固定搭配呢？

其实我觉得E致命的错误是grow as big as .. .. big是形容词，不能修饰grow。例如说：he runs as fast as me.

那是不是可以说成 grow as long as 30 feet.
