When it comes to money, some people always regard it as the ultimate reason for crime and evil, by which the majority of people who commit crimes are motivated, while others hold the opinion that money is a source of the good, such as charity. From my perspective, as for money, we should sidestep dichotomy of merely good or evil, instead treat money as a elementary tool to achieve our goals. As there is no inherent sin of money, and it is just the ways we utilize it that alter our opinions on it. Now that money is merely a tool for us, thus I think there are three aspects make the tool significant.

First, adequate money guarantees the basic and essential food and other subsistence, which is indispensible for providing human’s daily vigor. Protein, vitamin and other nutrients are crucial for our normal metabolism, which is a process that generates energy we need to accomplish daily activities. Lack of money leads to less nutrients intake, subsequently, generates severe health problems, such as diabetes or fracture.    

Second, money can help us finish our schools more smoothly. As a matter of fact, sitting down here to take TOEFL, I am not an individual living in indigent. We are not supposed to take for granted that people are all living happily as the fairy tales indicate,in fact, all around the world, there are a myriad of needy people cannot reach the subsistence margin, letting alone the education. Furthermore, although money does not guarantee success, it certainly, to some extent, renders us more opportunities to be successful in the future.

Third, extra money promises the charity activities. Being a celebrity as well as a millionaire, Bill Gate and his corporation, Microsoft, have donated an enormous sum of money to the poor and the disabled, and thus found a fund to call on other affluent individuals to make their own contribution to people mostly desperate for their help. As a model, Bill Gate erects a positive figure and conveys a message that money is a kind of means to initiate a more humane world.

Taking these three factors above into account, confirmed by the fundamental usages of money, subsistence and education, convinced by the charities in terms of money, I insist that money be only a tool and an indispensible tool for our lives.
