有点疑惑：

(A) as the former chair… for 18 consecutive years不符合逻辑，而且主语谓语是attended…，如果是former chair，attended…也是不符合逻辑的。？为什么这两处不符合逻辑呢？

umm...其实这个题目讨论很多遍了，搜索一下就能找到，下次记得先搜索一下老帖子哦

as the former chair，是指当“前主席18年了”。而合理逻辑是“当主席18年了”。

如果是FORMER的,怎么还会做连续的第18届呢?

A,B,C的另一个问题是：former和attended冲突

既然是attended, 那么就是表示那时如何，既然是那时的行为，title就不是former了.
