OG12 43题population和people能同时用么

OG解释说population是抽象概念，要用people，这个可以理解，但两个词能够一起用么，不会redundant么？请大牛帮忙分析下，谢谢！

不是很明白楼主说连用的意思。 population of people这样么？如果这样表述的话，是有问题的吧，没听说过人群的人口，只有地区的人口，国家的人口，应该是逻辑表意错误

a population of xx million people 是常用的搭配，并不存在重复的问题，就跟a group of people/students 是一样的，不存在重复的问题~
