可是我觉得既然这里使用了range from的结构
那么三者应该都并列进去阿
否则......, ranging from A to B and C.总是感觉不太对阿
况且我觉得这里的ranging整体是修饰risk的
既然lack也是一个risk，那么难道不应该被包括到range from中去么？

只有C没有语法错误啊。
BTW，C中（当然时态也不对）把in greater detail than ever before 分开了，记得还有一个句子也是这样分开的，也是错误选项，没有找着，郁闷！

不过17题，为什么用过去完成式不可以呢
我觉得时间的截至点应该在过去阿，也就是说是BW的那个时代
C,意思是他前无古人，难道原文的意思还要加上后无来着么？

BTW:
第16题中,
排除B的原因是什么? 是时态? 还是比较结构的修饰语位置不合适?
C用完成时表示已经达到的效果"possible"可以理解, 但用一般时表示一种陈述的客观事实,不可以吗?

C中的结构是为了保证in greater detail than ever before这个比较结构不要分的太开.
不知是否变成" to study the effect of ...... in greater detail than ever before. 更好?!
反正也没有这个选项.( 有点儿投机 )

是的，这就是此题比较TRICKY的地方，我想ETS确实是这么想的，不是说“前无古人”，而是要表达“迄今为止无人出其右”。因为这个文章是现在写的呀，你不能说ETS想表达这样的意思不可以吧。

至于将来是不是“后无来者”，那就不得而知了。

come 和句子里的 came as close to being a carbon copy of the jazz virtuoso in performance as 。是对应的呢？注意它用了as...as...
