邏輯上理解這個句子，應該是德國的事情發生在NY之前，你那樣改的話就改變的句子的意思

我还是不明白，这里的过去完成时错在哪里。
我想事情发生的先后顺序应该是
先 in Germany 然后emigrate to NY 最后earn admirers 和 exhibit photographs
既然这里的earn 和 exhibit 用的是过去式，那么emigrate 是过去的过去，为什么不能用过去完成式。
