MBA job placement up from last year!
Here is a letter from our director about job placement of 2004 MBA!
Dear Cox MBA Community:
Just in case you didn't see this article in last Friday's "Coxweekly" e-newsletter, I wanted to share this encouraging news.
MBA Job Placement Up From Last Year Only two weeks old, 2004 is already proving to be a great year at SMU Cox. The MBA Career Management Center reports that job placement for the class of 2004 MBA candidates is up considerably from last year. So far, 17.6 percent of the 102 students reporting have accepted offers, compared with only 2 percent accepting offers at this time last year. This pace puts SMU Cox right in step with other top MBA programs across the country, such as the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Rochester, according to a recent Wall Street Journal article. Associate Dean of Masters Programs Marci Armstrong states that MBA placement could easily reach 20 percent by the end of next week, as students with offers still outstanding come to a decision.
