[求助]OG11th的一道语法题，跟以前的答案不一样了

以前讨论的时候说，nuclear fusion is.....是客观状态和merging.,...不可能同时发生，所以排除了前三项，详见：（http://www.chasedream.com/show.aspx?id=601）

但是OG11版的正确答案是C。

NN能解释下么，这个ing形式的使用条件，本人至今还是没搞明白。。多谢各位！！！！

这里是现在分词做状语！

这里考的是现在分词作伴随状语。。。所以排除D、E

as当连词+句子，所以A错了

instead of 是一个相对性错误，B也可以排除了

C的as对比的双方结构对等且有rather than ，由于instead of

所以，选C

do，指代谁，LS顺便给说一说这一题吧，看看能不能做类比

前面用了owning and living，但是答案是it was....而不是C得as....did，大家看看有没有相似性

这里的it 指代了goal，was因为earlier generation是过去的人。was正好呼应了前文的is吧
