英国佬喜欢用CV。我们公司有个英国回来的假洋鬼子，整天就把类似这种美国人不太用的东东挂在嘴上，显示自己的博学。

resume 不等于 CV.
resume 一般1-2页,包括工作,教育,联系方式等重要信息. CV一般5-10页,可以把所有重要信息具体化,并且可包括附件. 所以一个CV 可把一个人各方面全部表现出来.

Agree with luckycat - CV is not the same thing as resume. The former tends to be lnoger and more detailed. For instance if you're applying for a teaching position in a university you must include publications, patents etc in your CV. In business settings, shorter format (i.e. resume) is more acceptable, presumly because HR folks have no time or patience to read a 5 pages CV. It's always a good idea to check with the school or company to see which one is prefered...
