[求助]请教比较结构问题

The five hundred largest manufacturing firms in the United States produce goods worth almost as much as those of the remaining four hundred thousand firms.

请问该句是比较goods还是比较worth, 我觉得应该比较worth, 但是 " those "指代的又是goods, 有点迷茫了...

又如下例:

It is as difficult to prevent crimes against property as it is to prevent those against a person.

为什么比较的不是crimes against property 呢 ? 划线句为什么不能是 as those against a person ?

望高人指点比较级应该怎么判断到底是哪两项在比. 非常感谢!

worth almost as much as those of the reamining four hundred thousand firms做后置定语，修饰goods.worth 或 worthy of引导的定语一般都后置。thoses=goods
