[求助]讨教一道OG题

答案是E。其他4个确实都不行，但我不明白的是E里的accounting是不是错的。我觉得应该是account 吧，因为Although引导从句，如果是accounting，那岂不是从句没有动词啦？请大家指教。

though they account for和though accounting for都是一样的，though在后者中当副词。

多谢抽空回答。不过我刚才查了一下，“though可用作副词，意为"然而"，常用逗号与句子分开。although则不能这样使用，它只作连词。例如：It was a quiet party, I had a good time, though.” 难道是GMAC出题不严谨，应该用THOUGH？

如果although/even though/while從句的主語跟主句主語是一樣**and**時態一致, 從句的主語可省and從句的main verb改成現在分詞...

上回说是副词说错了，应该是介词（或者是连词）：一般语法书里好像都没有特别指出是什么词。
Wikipedia上是这样说的： Some subordinating conjunctions (although, before, until, while), when used to introduce a phrase instead of a full clause, become prepositions with identical meanings.
所以，though doing xxx = though he does xxx； while doing xxx = while he does xxx； before doing xxx = before he does xxx, ...这在GMAT里都是很常见的，记下来这种结构就行。
