OG上的解释说： D没有什么语法错误但是不够清晰和优美。（但是正确选项B，说是需要would来体现对未来的预期这一概念，既然这样的话，为什么D没有would却没有错误呢？）

"that of" refers to "expectation of", illogical; incorrect.
