我想问的是这两个词组有啥区别

因为change可能是动词，所以population changes的用法可能会产生歧义

而当changes in population，介词短语做定语修饰changes的时候就能肯定changes是名词了，由此更加精确的表达出意思来。

所以，就如楼上举的例子，increase,change这种动词和动词性名词同型的词最好还是用这种形式，绝对不会有歧义。

虽然在这题里面其实population changes和changes in population没有什么区别，但是用多了就习惯用changes in population了。

38、菜鸟手册里面并没有说到为什么“sediments from the Baltic sea 要优于
                                    Baltic sea sediments”，让我感觉很郁闷...我觉得是因为后面in the area里的area使用the修饰的，所以前面要有所指，而用from the Balitic sea，可以让the area的所指更加明确。不过可能菜鸟手册里想要表达的是“名词+所属范围”的表达更加清晰吧，这个有待考证。
