For Wharton essay number one, it asks for your career path that leads you to the decision to apply for MBA, as well as how will Wharton MBA benefit me.
My problem: 1000 words is really hard to state my career path to today. Should I focus on stating my accomplishments and elaborate in detail in other essays, or give detail of one or two accomplishments?

I just feel the same way. I started with only 500 words. Take me days to expand to 1000 words. And those 500 words essays, I finish them in 100 to 200 words. I have to add more and more detail to get close to the word limit. Real envy those who can write thousands and thousands words. For me, trimming down is much easier. Just take out parts that are not directly related.
