哇，好多题...
第一道，C中，“either accompanied by an increase in pressure if the gas is enclosed in acontainer or by“个人感觉，就平行而言，either V+ed by。。。，而后面的or by。。。，这不能够并列。
同理，D中“ by either an increase in pressure if it is enclosed in a container,or by”，either an increase。。。，所以后面也应该是or an increase。。。

第二题，under which it will publish about 20 purely digital works to be sold online ，这里的“ to be sold online ”是用来修饰 digital works的，只将要被在线销售的数字化works。如果此处选C， and it will sell them online as eitherelectronic books or as，相比A而言，更加的繁琐，是一个累赘的表达。
所以A比C好，故而选C。
GMAT的选项，我觉得，不是说一定其他几个错在哪，而是重点在5个中哪一个最好。

第三题，这C我上来就给排除了，这前面一大段明显是用来说明这人的，你直接用Former，这主从关系完全没有了，分裂的两个玩意。
不过，我倒是很纠结A和E，不知道Former为啥不行，还请NN帮忙回答吧。

是不是，“the former chair of the planningboard for 18 consecutive years”，这里用了for表持续，句意上former就说不通了，意思变成了，“连续当了18年的前主席”所以不需要用Former，那这也就同样C就错了
综合比较，E相对而言更好些
