请问not one of ...是什么意思？和none of有什么区别？还有为什么是if the deal were而不是was？

if the deal were而不是was，是因为虚拟语气习惯性地用were...口语里也可以用was。（因为，the deal确实存在，而只是假设不存在）

准确地讲虚拟语气是没有固定格式的。

not one of跟none of我想最大的区别就在于

none of  + 复数可数名词后面，谓语要用复数形式。（因为它否定的是of后面的名词）

not one of的话是，谓语是用单数的。（因为它否定的是one，而one是要单数的）

至于意思上我认为没什么差别。

是的，就如白勇的书里说的：none of+ 复数可数名词/不可数名词 谓语要看修饰的名词若为复数名词，谓语形式用复数，不可数名词则用单数。这点跟not one of是有点区别的...就如题目里是Not one of the potential investors，answer里的谓语动词用的也是单数形式...

恩...我在1楼的解释错了...mo...不是说deal不存在，而是说deal在将来不会被concluded，太粗心了...。

还有None of的用法...如果这一点不被你指出我会一直错下去...太感谢了...
