59. Live life in a hurry or at a slower pace The issue of whether we should live life in a slow or a quicker pace is a much meaningful yet contentious one since different people hold different views on it not only because of their respective backgrounds but also due to their alien understandings. Although the latter advice, taking time in a slower pace, have some merits. I vote the former one, thereby employing two lines of reasoning to support my position in the following discussion. Firstly, as the saying goes, ‘more haste, less speed’. If taking time in a more cozy form,we can pay more attention to the detail and make things more effective. For example, before I was always rushing studying and extracurricular activity, I can not do my best to both of them. And the result of them are always not so good. After I decided to quit some clubs, I have more time and energy to deal with my school work. Hence, the rank of my grade rose a lot. What is more , both common sense and our experience inform us that the detail is the vital component of success. In addition, there is another reason for me to choose the statement: living in a slower pace does good to our health regularly, which can alleviate our stress in the work. To illustrate, let us consider that if our life is full of calculator, which force us to do the work in the limit time and have no rest until we finish them all. The stress can eventually make us exhausted, just like my one relative, who worked all the time and went to the hospital in the end. Admittedly, it is true that quick pace can make life more enriched. However, the importance of life should be the quality instead of the quantity. Hence, the abundant quantity alone can not constitute a sufficient support to living more quicker since its advantages outweigh benefit and therefore the conclusion is very clear. To sum up, while taking time in a hurry is plausible in some cases, I feel that living in a slow pace can give us more success, good health and a better life. |
