我觉得好像是3，因为to可以表目的啊，但是3的them指代似乎有些问题，可按照逻辑意思判断的话，其实也是没有歧义的

replace其实和in place of没有实质性的区别，但这里我觉得似乎 to replace更合适一些，因为强调的是一种目的性动作，in place of 在强调动作性上不如replace好
