Recently, there is a debate over whether people are likely to accept the leader who has an ability to perform the same tasks he or she expects others to do. Different people hold different views due to their respective angles . Some people assert that we should choice a leader who can do anything we can, while others believe that leader do not need to have abilities he or she wants us to do. Therefore there is not a universal answer and whether one choice takes precedence the other. Actually, the final judgment depends on a case-by-case analysis. However, in the following discussion, I would like to present evidences favoring the latter one and refuting the former one to support my point of view.
In the first place, we people like to follow the person who has multiple abilities, so people sometimes will not accept the leader who can not perform some abilities. But leader should do more important things such as organizing and managing. Therefore, we should accept a leader who should focus on his or her main jobs. I would not agree that we should choice a leader who can do anything.
In addition, we want a leader who can lead us to do something, however, we just do not choice a teacher who should perform the tasks that we should do. Hence, this is another reason to support my view, leader is not like a teacher.
Admittedly, it is true that leader should have some specific ability. For example, Clinton, one of America President, had evaded military. When he was command chief, the soldiers did not trust him. Therefore, the leader should have some specific ability, but the leader does not have to do all tasks.
To sum up, due to above mentioned reasons, which correlate with each other to generate the whole.
