请教大家，as compared to是正确搭配吗？prep里面的解释好像有矛盾啊

看到老prep132题中选as compared to这个选项，但在1另53题里又说这个搭配是错的。看了半天没看懂，到底什么意思呢？as compared to到底是正确搭配吗？

两题的题目与解释说明如下：

A recent review of pay scales indicatesthat CEO's now earn an average of 419 times more pay

than blue-collar workers, compared to aratio of 42 times in 1980.

答案说明：(C) 正确，as compared to比较结构，419 times the pay与42 times their pay比较，the ratio…是同位语。

A recent United States Census Bureaureport shows that there are more than three times as many households where the children andgrandchildren are living in their grandparents' home as comparedto households where the grandparents are living in their children's orgrandchildren's home.

答案说明：(A) as compared to搭配错误且as…as与compared to结构重复。

ceo's 用as compare to 是作为verb modifier修饰 earn 419times the pay of blue-collar workers这个动作单独使用compare to/with （一般以comma+compared to/with结构出现）只能修饰前面名词因此加as

谁能帮忙解释下B和C，为什么要选C啊？B的同位语修饰为什么不行呢？难道是意思有问题。

看到这题我就想起上邪说的。。。比例不能孤零零的。。。

我的理解是42 times 是名词修饰语，其修饰对象必须存在，否则就悬挂修饰了。

这样的解释的 as compared to。还不是很清楚

就是一个区别 as compare to是大家常说的状语 compare to ---这个经常用为compared to 是定语

在这个句子中比较的明显是earn XXX times 这个动态的动作如果去掉了as 单独用compared to 修饰的就是workers 不是earn
而PP解释说as..as compare to重复是因为 as..as是一对 compare to是一对第二个不需要compare to
