为什么C不对？ 正确答案E的结构是不是：at which trees。。。their trunks都是修饰the rate的啊？ 如果是，这句话怎么解释呢？

我不同意他的看法。根本就没有就近指代这种说法。这个解释太牵强了。谁能解释一下这句话啊？as seen。。。一句的主语是什么？是不是trees啊 ？

我认为主要是On earth介词词组的位置不对,on earth从句意上只能修饰indications,因此就不能放在句首修饰整个句子.

类似这种题个人总结为,修饰语从小不从大,既修饰语的范围越小越好.

their 指的是tree

还是这个解释最令我信服。

偶以为，本题的考点主要是主谓一致，主语是the rate at which trees grow，所以用is搭配。
