A: rather than burning calories to generate it

B: rather than the generation of body heat by burning calories

C: and not from generating it by burning calories

D: instead of by burning calories for generating it

E: instead of body heat generated by burning calories

請問~~~這一題A 跟 B哪一個答案比較好呢???

根据“形式对称优先”的原则，选A最佳。前后都用-ing形式；而且，前面有个by，可以和后面的buring完美结合，by burning...，“通过燃烧...”。

如果选B的话，这个by和后面的the generation of body heat by burning calories一结合，变成by the generation of body heat by burning calories，用了2个by，显得累赘了，表达不如A简洁。
