169.

(34173-!-item-!-188;#058&007252)

Part of the proposed increase in state education spending is due to higher enrollment, since the number of students in public schools have grown steadily since the mid-1980's and, at nearly 47 million, are at a record high.

(A) enrollment, since the number of students in public schools have grown steadily since the mid-1980's and, at nearly 47 million, are at

(B) enrollment, with a number of students in public schools growing steadily since the mid-1980's and, at nearly 47 million, reaching

(C) enrollment: since students in public schools have grown steadily in number since the mid-1980's and, at nearly 47 million, have reached

(D) enrollment: the number of students in public schools has grown steadily since the mid-1980's and, at nearly 47 million, has reached

(E) enrollment: students in public schools have grown steadily in number since the mid-1980's and, at nearly 47 million, are at

52.  Although at one time children’s programming had been limited to a few hours a week, now, however, there are at least four cable networks that dedicate themselves entirely to shows produced specifically for children.

A.      Although at one time children’s programming had been limited to a few hours a week, now, however, there are at least four cable networks that dedicate themselves

B.      With children’s programming having been limited at one time to a few hours a week, now at least four cable networks have dedicated themselves

C.      Once limited to a few hours a week, there are now at least four cable networks with children’s programming that dedicate themselves

D.      Children’s programming was once limited to a few hours a week, but now there are at least four cable networks dedicated

E.      While children’s programming had once been limited to a few hours a week, at least four cable networks are now dedicated

A: at one time应该用once替换;had been过去完成时没有道理;dedicate应该用被动

D: correct

E: had been过去完成时错,有once用过去时;

注意:

1、           at one timeonce

2、           one dedicate sth. to sth. ; sth. is dedicated to sth.

3、           with one’s doing

the economy of Britain, France, and Germany, with the unemployment rate that has remained

With stationary crests and troughs although they are formed by rapidly moving air

Eg. based on how…..(OG90)

Eg.

With +N.+doing 错,with the composer himself staging it() (OG102)

at +N+doing

                for the building of

With crests and troughs that remain stationary although the air that forms them is moving rapidly

OG205

(B) enrollment, with a number of students in public schools growing steadily since the mid-1980's and, at nearly 47 million, reaching 我认为这句话的with+n.+doing是对的,应该doing做后置定语修饰number,只是没动词有效

with the composer himself staging it(错)因为composer是stage的主语,staging不是用来修饰composer的,作者是想表达主被动关系

1. with their doing 肯定错, 应该是 with sth (sb) doing,不能用所有格形式

我觉得这道题B的用法with students growing and reaching语法上没错,但逻辑错误,本题的主谓语是 the number grow, 不是students grow, students怎么grow, 成了他们长大了.

但是第二条是OG紫皮13题:with the composer himself staging it我觉得是及物动词的话,就不能用这种独立主格结构,如果是不及物的话象上面with students growing and reaching就是对的,with+-ed/-ing这个ing相当于是修饰了student

另外那个选项except for a concert performance with the composer himself staging it也不能看成独立主格,因为没有逗号,如果是加了逗号except for a concert performance, with the composer himself staging it因为是及物所以这种独立主格错,从根本上就不能接doing it,但是我还是觉得应该要加个it,否则动词后面没有宾语了,记得有这么一个题的-_-||

BoardID=23&ID=108599&replyID=&skin=1

With a boy leading the way, they started towards the village.

看来是我错了,with+n.+ing(不及物及物都对),但是因为way和they不是同一个东东,所以就可以用way,而不能用them?with a boy leading them,they started....
