对于it seem的用法，我有点糊涂。例如：
It seemed that Freeman had killed the man, and dumped the body in the lake.
（from LDOCE）
seem在这里做linking verb。那么，it是做形式主语，指代that从句吗？如果是的话，seem的表语在哪里呢？如果it作实体主语，that 从句作表语，那it又指代谁呢？

对于it may be 我也有类似的疑惑。例：885－set B－3
It may be that by focusing primarily on a patient’s mental condition and on vague and often very speculative psychodynamic factors, predictions about the patient’s future behavior decrease in accuracy.
(A) predictions about the patient’s future behavior decrease in accuracy
(B) mental health professionals lessen the accuracy of their predictions about the patient’s future behavior

应该选B（无异意）。问题是：it在这里是充当形式主语呢，还是当实体主语？接下来一系列问题类似于上面seem的有关问题。

困惑多时，请高手指教！

我的理解：主语是it
谓语是 seem
宾语是 that...从句
多简单？

我问过好几个人，他们凭语感都能做对，但说不出来什么道理来。恐怕他们还不知什么叫”不及物动词“。
