但是OG解释说To allow is not an idiomatic way to modify devices; either that allow or allowing would be correct.

我的问题是：

1. device用to allow修饰为什么不好？to = in order to表示目的，就是说这个设备的目的是。。。为什么不对呢？

2.为什么device用allowing 修饰可以？allowing可以用作解释前面的名词？我觉得doing修饰前面的名词，一般表示重复的动作？

你说得对！有些语法点我是不能记得太绝对了，先记住ets曾经这么解释过。我想选出正确答案的时候，肯定不会就依靠这么一个知识点作为区分，即使是，也应该是你说的那种情况：是在devices allowing和devices allowed比较的时候用

关于device to allow，我还没太明白用这种方式，意思上如何不同了？多谢再指点一下！
