关于代词指代，我总结了前辈NN的看法

1．依靠代词指代模糊来定答案不好,应为排除中的最后一招. 有其他区别先看其他的排除

2．除了下面3种ETS认为必错的代词指代的错误, 其他都不建议优先排除

单复数不一致.

在同一句句子中, 同一个代词指代不同的东西. (OG10-12)

代词指代所有格, 而不是中心词. (OG10-90)

3．能用名词的不选一堆代词的，当有多个可以指代的对象时，选用代词容易造成混淆

4．补出概括性的名词来去掉代词经常是正确答案的标志

5．指代动作的时候
   用 do so , 不用 do it

所以此题

1．  It 的问题，时间状语从句的主语和主句的主语一致，如果都是代词造成无法代替。注意，在GMAT中it不指代句子

2．  A was what was B ， what was 可以省略。注意简洁，另外像that/which/who be+形容词，
   要简化为形容词前置的形式
