个人认为virtually在这里是修饰like，因为后面的主语是New York's (airports),所以只能选C。like sth/sb

as在表示“像”的意思时是作为连词，后面接从句。as you like, as sb did..在本题中，比较的是两个物体，用like比较合适。

这题我一开始倾向A，后来发现which在这里比较奇怪，amounts to的主语是non-Hispanic Whites，但用which引出的话，就容易有指代混淆的问题，因为最近的名词是California。相比之下，amounting就比较清晰。在这里它不是动名词，而是分词，带出一个状语从句。

至于E，it出现的很奇怪。所以我会选D。

这题的意思大概就是一排浮标漂在太平洋赤道的水上，收集和传送海洋和空气长期互相作用的数据，这种作用影响全球的气候。所以第二个interactions不可缺，否则后面的that affect global climate很容易不知道修饰谁。选C的话意思就变了。

我想这里的economies是对应多国的，所以用复数没问题吧。unemployment rate指是Dutch的，一国的，用单数。
