   Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship.

Generally speaking, no one can live apart from society. Everyone must have some relationship with others. People mostly want to live in harmony with others. In a relationship, various virtues have been taken into consideration by us, such as honesty, sincerity, loyalty and understanding. Different people have different opinions. For me, always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any of my relationship. It is the basis of keeping relationship.

Why I consider honesty as the major quality? The reasons are obvious.

First of all, I believe that everyone likes to be trusted, hoping no one tells lies to him. I am not an exception. Treating me means he/she does not regard me as trustworthy person, and dose not want me to know the truth. Maybe the truth is unpleasant and he/she thinks it will destroy our relationship. But the point is that, what he/she should do is depending on my judging ability rather than concealing the truth. Beside, good relationship does not only mean playing together, but in most cases, mean sharing as well, no matter in what circumstances. Some one might argue that telling lies once or twice does less harm than we think. In fact, it is the opposite. If he/she could tell a lie to me once, then why could not he/she treat me twice and the third time. Truth will emerge eventually and that might be the end of our relationship. For instance, on my birthday, one of my friends declined to come to my party for the reason that some thing happened on her sister. I thought that might be an emergency, However, my father saw her shopping with her boyfriend that day. The truth was that her boyfriend would go abroad, she went to see him off. She could tell me the truth and I would understand her. That lie made me uncomfortable.

There is some truth that in some specific cases, white lies are needed. However, I persist that everyone should have the right to know the truth. Nobody can make decisions for others. So in any relationship of mine, I cherish honesty most. I also believe that, only if I am honest to others, then other people will be honest to me. It is mutually.
