A few thoughts. 1. You'll have to work hard to prove your academic ability. Your undergraduate GPA is not high and you are not finishing your graduate degree. 2. You'll have to work hard to find a focus. You can frame your past experience as an exploration process and tie the variety of experiences together with a direction. I don't know what it is, that's for you to define. You'll need a higher aspiration and mere interest in consulting/banking is probably not good enough. 3. The activities you participated in during your professional career (you can mention the ones in school but not focus on them) are smaller scoped. Talking about what you learned (take-aways) and your cross-functional and cross-unit influence (even if each unit/function is small) may help. 4. I won't recommend deciding on schools until you have your GMAT scores. End of August is a little late. It puts you in a difficult position of "all or nothing" because you need to budget time for TOEFL as well. 5. Have a good explanation for not completing your graduate degree. 6. Where would your recommendations come from? Hope that helps! |
