这道题，答案是C，说Dthat was 多余，我就是不明白怎么多余了，没有that was来引导时间状语，as early as又能和谁平行呀？

我觉得有了D的that was ，我们才可以认为that was (a period) as early as the eighteenth century,而不是C中mineral extraction as the eighteenth century

我比较不好啊，请大家帮忙。。。。。。。。。。。。。

这里as early as 没有在追求平行这个结构吧？它意思不就是 “早至18世纪”
去掉中间插入语 Leaching was a well-established method of mineral extraction as early as the eighteenth century, blahblahblah

好吧我语法巨弱靠语感的飘走。

谢谢mm, 只是我没有以为这里是平行，我感觉as...as....结构前后链接的比较对象应该对等，所以，在C,D之间挑了半天，觉得that was后面好放时间状语，才选了D。。。。。。。。。。。

诶，可不对啊。。。。。。。

嗯。。我大概懂你的意思了。。可是as early as 就是描述一个时间的短语啊。没有比较对象的吧。就是说早，早到18世纪了。。
比如。。i got up this morning as early as 6 o'clock要是还是理解错了就忽略我吧= = 哈哈我实在是水平不好
