Need advice: Part time or full time?

I am facing two options: either study mba part time or attend a full time program.

Part time:  I will apply NYU since it is an excellent school and since I am living not far away from NYC.

Full time:  I will consider top 10 schools + NYU.

I hold a $80k+ job.

Any advice?  Thanks a lot.

nyu的Part time 排名基本是最高了。不过念 Part time 会辛苦很多。

do you intend to switch career? If not, I think NYU Part-time would be the most cost-effective, considering your pre-MBA salary.

I'm in a similar situation, working as a software developer in New Jersey, but want to get an MBA to make me competitive to work in Asia (HK or Shanghai) - it's hard to say right now whether I'll switch to financial or stick with computer-related... is this considered as a drastic career change?

howard - what did you end up deciding?

part-time MBA is some like 锦上添花。 It won't help much if you are not in a management position yet.

With BS and MS in computer, I definitely won't be able to compete in the Asia market for the salary that I'm getting in US, so I was hoping that a part-time MBA to be a safer choice to have the opportunity of returning while at the same time receive steady paychecks and have the current job as a backup... but no risk, no return...
