CBS wants to attract more Chinese applicants
As one of Columbia's second-year students pointed out previously, CBS hoped to recruit more students from China. This afternoon, Linda Meehan, Assistant Dean of Admissions, met with several current students to inquire about how CBS could increase its presence in China. If you are interested in finance, CBS is certainly a great choice. I cannot emphasize more about its New York advantage (especially if you are looking for buy side jobs). There are thousands of hedge funds and private equity firms in the city that are offering part-time and summer intern positions. CBS is also strong in consulting too. It is the core recruiting school of most big consulting firms.
