I want to be a trainer in the future, emphasizing on the teambuilding or soft skills training. I know it needs the experience in management field.

can it be considered as a management position?

Of course, HR manager, training manager and relationship manager are also at management positions.

I don't mean training manager. I want to be a self employed person and conduct training in other companies.

Then maybe you don't need an MBA. Usually those people have very strong in-depth knowledge in one area, something that an MBA is not able to offer.

what kind of training? technical or soft skills? Big companies usually have contracts with training companies who provide trainings for their employees on topics like presentation, project management, etc. You may find out the profiles of management team of these training companies. Check whehter anyone has a MBA degree.

我们公司建立培训中心时，专门送了一批人到国外学MBA，回来后主要教关于finance方面。

个人感觉，象培训这种soft skills, project management, 还是有销售或做大型项目经理背景的人比较合适。

同意，我参加的培训里面，那些讲师都是sales出身。但是如果是run这样一个business的话，就不是仅仅sales了。

so, I shouldn't choose this one as my long term goal.

from my heart, I really want to be a trainer(soft skills). before that, i need to get involved in some real case management, to gain more knowledge, skills, experience and also network. I think mba is a perfect match for me. but maybe the adm com don't think so.
