请教alone,only, alone among用法

alone of, only of 怎么错了? 不是经常有什么什么of...吗,阅读里各种稀奇古怪的of见得多了,到这里也麻木了

PREP解释:

2) only作形容词，表示唯一的一个，既然是唯一的一个，后面修饰的名词就不能是复数，否则语义及单复数前后矛盾

比如 lucy and kate are the only two girls in our class. 难道应该要改成 luck and kate is the only girl in our class?

IMO

C-->the meaning is: Among the five nations of the IL, Oneida sided with the colonists during the American Revolutions alone.
alone here used as a adv.

here, we should not use only OF is because----"five-nation Iroquois League" is a organization or commission<one of the league :nonsense >

ps: lucy and kate -->subject is two girls.
however, Oneida is ONE of the FIVE nations, the subject is singular( the usage of "was" in A, IMO, based on the logical meaning of the original sentence, is right), thus we should use the only ONE

这个解释2是用来解释D选项为什么不对的，前面only of **League的问题在于，of 后面的东西应该是复数，要不然就谈不上什么分之唯一了
