答案是B，不太理解with在这里的用法。with在这里是修饰谁的呢？这样修饰的理论依据是什么呢？看到NN写的关于with的总结但还是不太明白 谢谢！

題目:

正解 B:

...Canyon were built on a spectacular scale with more than 75 carefully engineered structures, of up to 600 rooms each, connected by a complex regional system of roads.

原句:

   with more than 75 carefully engineered structures, of up to 600 rooms each,were built on a spectacular scale, connected by a complex regional system of roads
            

把主詞修飾語後移避免頭重腳輕!

C,D,E選項.. of more than 75 carefully engineered structures 修飾scale 改變句意...

個人意見供參考!!

LS的解释不是很能说服我，原句部分connected by... 似乎修饰前面的scale

这道题目由划线部分的were排除A，过去完成时排除C、E，BD比较选B

但with的用法也不清楚，同问

我觉得with在这里修饰前面出现的动词were built

后面的connected by修饰的是structures

同意with修饰were built，但是说不出任何理由

我觉得connected by修饰each

of up to 600 rooms each是插入语,对句子结构无影响,去掉该插入语,原句变为

The Anasazi settlements at Chaco Canyon were built on a spectacular scale with more than 75 carefully engineered structures connected by a complex regional system of roads.

这个题目我选得相当的犹豫

with语法上既可以做状语修饰前面的were built，又可以限定性修饰前面的scale，所以考虑了很久。connected修饰structures没有问题
