本来觉得应该满有希望的……结果 ……真的害怕了开始。对其他的学校更没信心了……今年申请感觉很不顺畅的样子。水平相当的可能也会据我，水平低一些的学校搞不好也莫名的据我……

No wonder. You know what, the schoos always admit 5%-10% more students than their orginal quota and put dozens of on the waitlist In case of some admitted students turned down the offers. So the people on the WL are backup students. However, admissions from prestige institutions like LSE are unliked to be turned by applicants so that the people on the WL have little chance to be enrolled.
