你最近是各种老题新问，，，改路线搞学术了么

我也做了些功课，感觉这里的more than不是表比较，去掉more than之后句子依然完整，所以鄙人认为只表示程度之大，翻译成不止，不仅仅是；

十分有道理，

，，但是去掉以后还是spending double the rate . 不应该是rate double the rate吗？
我个人认为对比较结构很有心得，

谁知道在论坛里发现了一个贴子是比较题的精华贴。做了一半不到就错了两个，一下子自信心很受打击，没办法很挖一下

一看到这个名字就想起犀牛来。以这样一说貌似spending和rate的概念是不对等，比较结构我也需要花点时间去研究下

我晕，两位真是令我无语了！！你们居然还在讨论more than  这里 more than 是仅仅的意思啊，和比较有屁关系啊，这里比较结构不是double吗？？ LZ问的两道题目都涉及到 double这个词作动词的用法。 double作动词强调的只是主语和宾语的关系，没有逻辑对等的概念。
the personal spending double the rate.
The church doubled its memership.
这些只是施动者和被动者的逻辑关系，而不是逻辑对等的关系。  double作限定词时候才会有逻辑对比的概念。
