其余选项我都清楚了，只是想请问，为什么这里D being就是不对的，我觉得这里的being也不一定错呀
比如OG 12 101
101. Being heavily committed to a course of action, especially one that has worked well in the past, is likely to make an executive miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they do appear.
BEING就可以了，那101为什么不改成Heavily committed to a course of action,...呢？可以这么改么？

有了being不是绝对性错误，而是相对性错误，因为D选项里being是现在分词做形容词，去掉being逻辑意思没有丝毫变化，所以去掉being更加简洁。应该是选E对吗？
101题里面being是引导动名词短语，去掉being就没有主语了。

D并没有错，只是不够好，他改变了句子的中心。依据大仙说法，型和，但意不和~~
101的being非常有必要，一个被动的动作做主语，去了以后句子就没有主语了~

我觉得D里面的being累赘，且用being的话reason后面要用why而不是that；OG里面那道题是being... is likely to, 作主语，和这道题不一样~

这题的正确选项是E么。。。以下为个一意见，仅供参考。如有不对，希望指正。

这是D选项完整的句子结构。分析一下，主语是：Being very reluctant to carry any extra weight on his plane 谓语是：was 宾语为 the reason + 从句。

题目中之所以不选择D选项并不是因为Being使用错误，而是awkward and wordy（OG上经常使用的词汇)。
GMAT中SC应该是选择相对更好的一项，那么该选项相对于E选项表达：
Very reluctant to have any extra weight on his plane when he attempted his solo transatlantic flight, S V O.
其实更加详细的写法应该是
Charles Lindbergh was very reluctant to have any extra weight on his plane when he attempted his solo transatlantic flight, so S V O.
但是从句中的S 与前面原因中的主语一致，可以一起省略掉主语和be动词。这样就变成了E选项的形式。
个人认为这是这道题的考点所在，即原因状语从句的省略：当从句主句主语一致时，省略主语和be动词为优。
而Being adj was the reason 这个结构，则完全的被这个省略句包括的含义所覆盖。而且，表达更加复杂。不符合GMAT推崇的简洁原则。

主句和从句主语一致，省略的应该是从句的主语和be吧，从句是when后面的部分，可是E省略的是主句的主语阿，这样也对么？
