怎么看都没有一个合适的答案, 答案选C),不知为何?是不是特殊用法? 还有那些词有同样的用法?

2) From the 1888's on ,artist Mary increasingly devoted herself to the theme of mother and child in oils, pastels,etchings, and engraved
很明显engraved是错的,但是这里on又做什么意思讲呢?

1.is后面一定接形容词所以a.d 不可以选
剩下的b .c
b 是形容自己的心情时用的 ex:I am so surprised that you came
c 是形容有一件事情使我惊讶ex:your coming is surprising to me
