GMATPrep 一个语法争议题(D是官方正确答案)

哪位高手可以分析一下D的语法结构，感觉很别扭。

刚看了Findjuhl整理的GMATPrep的题，可惜Findjuhl  gg/jj：-）  整理的这道题和我看到的原题有出入！！！！！

不过，似乎注1有用，而上题与注2明显冲突，何解？！！！！

B: 同上

C: 同上，different应该是名词

D: different + from，difference +in sth.

E: correct, little应该是名词，that从句修饰little

注意：

1、解释前一个名词优先使用同位语从句，遇到of + sth +doing，可以直接判断选那个that + sth + do结构

2、两种固定搭配different + from和difference +in sth

E. that there is little of significant differences

我支持d。 different from 和 difference in 的搭配用法 并不适合此题的判断。

句子结构是 there is sth.. sth的修饰语.. in ...

这里的in 实际是 there is sth in sth。 跟difference 无关。

我发那题答案是D,sure.官方答案。核对了好几遍。

我的理解：

D。 that there is little that is significantly different

1。that is significantly different做修饰语修饰little, 如果运用意群阅读法，that is significantly different当作一个意群，到此为止；

2。后面的in。。。修饰that there is little ，也即修饰generalization，表示“在哪方面”；

综合1&2,   in 确实与different无关。

所以做语法，重在句子结构，所谓的搭配都是为结构服务的，不要迷信搭配，容易产生迷惑。当然，有些搭配本身就提供unique的句子结构，则另当别论。

本题E. that there is little of significant differences

E中如果differences改为difference是否正确？

——感觉说的过去，顺口，不知各位高见？

确否？

另外，Findjuhl整理的这道GMATPrep题中，E选项：that there is little that is significant differences  似乎也有问题：

that there is little that is significant differences中——is和differences是否一致？

无论differences用于连接哪个is（这结构中出现两个is），都有这个问题。

即使这道题，D选项也不能彻底排除，确实需要斟酌一番。

个人认为， 这句that there is little of a significant difference
        in... 由于这个in 使得 difference 不能用在这里。 如果这么用，会引起歧义。就弄不清究竟是difference
                in the underlying mental processes  还是 little of difference in the underlying mental processes  

举例： 大全80

1.        Although films about the American West depict coyotes as solitary animals howling mournfully on the tops of distant hills, in reality these gregarious creatures live in stable groups that occupy the same territory for long periods.

(A) films about the American West depict coyotes as solitary animals howling mournfully on the tops of distant hills

(C) coyotes are depicted as solitary animals howling mournfully on the tops of distant hills in films about the American West

答案a。 请看c选项中in films的位置 就引起了歧义。 让人不知道 究竟是指hills 还是 animals 还是 coyotes 是 in films.

D is incorrect but E is the best.
