If I were you, I would choose to wait for a while and see if other schools I have applied could give me more chance. Writing to the admission office and bragging how excellent you are will make yourself a pest .... It can easily become sort of you are trying to enfluence the decisions of the admission officers. It can be interpreted as you think the initial decision made by the admission officers is incorrect based on the information in your application materials. Well, I know on this website, many do encourage you to remind the admission office of your existence and how excellent you are. What I would suggest is you simply wait at the time being. If they really think you're a very strong applicant, they will contact you when there is a vacancy. Trust they would process your application fairly. But you should write to them, say, two or three weeks later, to tell them you're still interested in this school and show some committment to them. That would make more sense.
