a是错误的. a 的逻辑主语是the publication ,the publication 不能sell,只有book可以sell.

sell, wash等词都是主动表被动, 表性质.好象以前语法书上有过

但E后面不是也有“selling several hundred....”么？也是主动的呀

我想问一下307页73题，为什么是shatters and falls,前面不是leaf and small-stem material,两个单数用and连接应该算复数了吧？

谢谢luncb，意思是词句的sell一定要被动，而E项之所以ing是前面一句话对后面的影响？

关于E项的selling还是有点疑惑，是谁在sell？感觉怪怪的

至于73题，用shatters and falls是因为前面的material，不过我也不太确定为什么是material。

不过新东方有条规则，A and B（例外情况）中，如果A和B同为单数，且指代同以事物，则用单数。这里的leaf and stem都是material，且为单数，所以用单数

前面句话对后面句话产生影响，用V+ing,不用to do 和 which

不知道这里的selling是不是这样子理解。我感觉可以用这条规则
