Duverger found that women voted somewhat less frequently than man but that this difference narrowed the longer the women had the vote. If the rates were most similar where women had been voting the longest,then the rates would be most dissimilar where women had been voting for the shortest time. 杜瓦杰发现女性投票次数从某种程度上来说经常低于男性，但是这个差异减少了女性投票的时间。如果投票率比较一致，女性的投票时间就长。那么如果投票率不一致，女性就只用了极短的时间参与投票。
